Product Notes

The hook bracelet is another cultural signifier from the Virgin Islands. Originally crafted by Sonya’s Fine Island Jewelry in 1964, on St Croix - it is a famous Caribbean keepsake. It’s said that if you wear the hook facing towards you, it means your heart is taken and if you wear it facing the world, you are open to love. I’ve made my own rendition of this classic design with a literal fish hook and a sweet diamond accent, see Sonya’s original design below.
Care Instructions

Diamonds are durable by nature & among the hardest natural stones but still should be handled with care. Avoid harsh chemicals and extreme heat. If your stone needs cleaning, you can use a polishing cloth, dish soap, and a baby tooth brush to clean underneath the setting. If you ever need a deep clean, feel free to email info@florencejean.com and we can help with next steps.

All Florence Jean jewelry is created from precious metals (ie. solid 14k gold or sterling silver). Jewelry can be worn in water and will develop a natural patina with time. We recommend removing jewelry when doing heavy activity to avoid damage.
